Consequential Illness Filing

In addition to an accepted condition, the EEOICPA will cover any consequential illness incurred as a result of an accepted condition.

A consequential illness is a new and separate medical problem that is identified as having developed due to the original accepted condition.

The following list serves as examples of consequential conditions. If you have any of the following, you may be eligible to file a consequential illness claim.

  • Radiation pneumonitis
  • Burns as a result of radiation treatment
  • Depression
  • Diabetes
  • Dementia
  • Coronary Artery Disease
  • Anemia
  • COVID
  • Hypertension
  • Hip Fracture

  • Metastasis of Cancer

This list is not comprehensive or all inclusive.

There are many secondary conditions that can result as a consequence of medical treatments and/or progression of disease processes related to your primary diagnosis.

Let us help you maximize your claim and benefits.
