Part B of the EEOICPA


Compensation up to $150,000 and payment of medical expenses


  • If you were an employee, contractor, or sub-contractor of the US Department of Energy at a covered facility and developed radiation induced cancer.
  • If your cancer is determined to be "at least as likely as not" related to that employment
  • If you were a member of the Special Exposure Cohort (SEC) and developed one of 22 specified cancers
  • If you were an employee of the DOE, a contractor or sub-contractor, a designated beryllium vendor at covered facilities and developed chronic beryllium disease
  • If you were an employee of the DOE, a contractor or sub-contractor and worked at least 250 days during the mining of tunnels at underground nuclear weapons tests sites in Nevada or Alaska and developed chronic silicosis


Compensation up to $50,000 and payment of medical expenses


  • If you were a uranium worker (or their survivor) and previously awarded benefits by the US Dept of Justice under Section 5 of the Radiation Exposure Act (RECA)


If the employee is no longer living, the Part B compensation may be payable to eligible survivors.
